Herald Square was set up like a football field, with various stations for individuals to participate to end to hunger and donate meals. One section allowed individuals to be featured on camera and tell their story, take three shots at throwing a football and scoring meals to be donated, as well as signing up to win a trip to San Francisco, CA on January 9, 2011 for the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl. Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009What do you get when you take New York style and mix it with classic culture of Greece? Fotini—a New York native who has spent many a long summer in Greece.

Inspired by two very different islands, her designs are a feminine and regal mix of both. Each piece is handmade and custom orders are encouraged. Her price points are reasonable, from $30 (the Jan necklace is 32 inches long with 8 mini brass lockets) to $450 (the Glenda (shown left) has 4 castings from real grape leaves with London blue topaz briolettes, all 18kt gold).
Perfect for Mom is the Vermeil disc stamped with the word “Mother” in Greek with garnet accent bead.
Find Fotini’s jewelry at local NYC boutiques like Hilary Flowers Designer Collective and online at Fotini Designs, Beehive Co-op, and New York Designer. Allow 2-3 weeks for delivery.
